| Who I am: |
My name is Rodney Hetherton. I have been a parish member at Holy Redeemer since I was a teenager, and I am twenty-nine years old.
I am married to a beautiful wife, Heather, to whom I gave a great last name. We have two great little boys, Andrew and Jacob. Heather and I met through Holy Redeemer, were married at Holy Redeemer, and volunteer there. |
| What I've done: |
I graduated from UofM - Flint in 1996, where I earned my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. I spent my first four years teaching at St. Robert Catholic School in Flushing, MI. At St. Robert I taught 5th/6th Grade Science, coached 7th/8th grade football, and coached baseball. I greatly enjoyed my experience there; the kids were special. I especially enjoyed being able to live out AND talk about my faith on a daily basis.

| What I'm doing: |
I am currently a teacher at Fenton Intermediate School. I teach 5th Grade Social Studies and Math. Here I have bigger classes and can't talk about spirituality, but the kids are still great. I am also working on a Masters of Public Administration Degree at UofM - Flint. I should finish up the program by the spring of 2003. I look forward to the next stage of leadership in education.

| Other stuff: |
I enjoy spending time with my little boys and my wife. I try to devote most of my spare time to them. My other hobbies include doing work with Holy Redeemer's youth ministry program and writing articles for
ParishWebmaster. I also enjoy coaching -- especially football. I try my best to live life to the fullest and reflect the light of Christ to others. I have really enjoyed getting to know all the people that I have came in contact with through teaching, youth ministry, and writing these articles. |
