Effortless
eMinistry works because of LifeTimes Catholic eZine!
IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WON'T
NECESSARILY COME.
The Internet is not the Field of
Dreams. You need to build it, and then tell people to come and see
it. All of our Effortless eMinistry Solutions offer excellent
content, updated automatically to your Parish Web site each and every
week. But none of it is worth anything if no one ever reads
it! People don't just "remember" to stop by the Parish Web
site. They need to be reminded... again and again. And that's
where LifeTimes comes in.
LifeTimes Catholic eZine is customized for
your Parish, shows up in your parishioners' email inboxes every week, and
then links them back to your Parish Web site. This regular reminder
is what makes the ministry work. Clients who have either failed to
publicize LifeTimes or refused to do so have not been satisfied with our
programs. That's not surprising, since LifeTimes Catholic eZine is
the cornerstone of what we do. And it's the key to successful
eMinistry.
But we don't just hype it up and then
leave you to figure out what to do. Below you will find links to
sample announcements, sign-up sheets and flyers that you are free to
customize and use. These will make it very simple and easy for you
to run your own eConnections Campaign.
[The first two links will take you to Web
pages containing the full text of the document described, and from there
you can download the actual document, which you
can then customize for your Parish.]
eConnections
Campaign Kick-Off (RTF - 9kb): This announcement is to be read at
every mass during the kick-off week. It explains the importance of
eMinistry, asks people to subscribe, and tells them what they will receive each
week.
eConnections
Campaign Weekly Update (RTF - 8kb): This is a series of announcements
to be read at every mass each week during the Campaign. It quickly updates
your progress towards your Parish goal, and reminds people to subscribe.
eConnections Campaign
1 Year Update (RTF - 9kb): This is an announcement to be read a year
after the initial eConnections Campaign. It quickly updates the current
status of your list, and reminds people to subscribe.
[Right-click the following links and choose
"Save as..." or "Save link as..." in order to download the
actual document in rich text format (RTF) to your computer. You may edit
the saved copy to suit your needs.]
eConnections
Campaign Sign-Up Sheet (RTF - 32kb): This is a sign-up form that you
can place at the doors to the Church. It provides plenty of space and only
asks for email addresses. If you want to collect other data, such as
subscriber's name, you will need to customize the form. However, we
suggest that you make sure to leave ample room for email addresses and always
provide an example for people to see.
eConnections
Campaign Bulletin Announcement (RTF - 32kb): This announcement can be
used in your Parish Bulletin on a regular basis. If you decide to use your
own format, we suggest you include a description of what they will receive (i.e.
LifeTimes Catholic eZine), how often they will receive it (i.e. weekly), and
provide ample space to write their email address.
eConnections
Campaign Bulletin Announcement (DOC - 24kb): Same as above, in
Microsoft Word's DOC format.
YOUR TO-DO LIST
Work with your Parish staff to
schedule the eConnections Campaign.
Download and customize the
announcements and forms.
Provide customized announcements
and forms the appropriate people to ensure that (a) the announcements
are read at every mass, (b) the sign-up sheets are at the doors, (c) the
bulletin announcements have been submitted, and (d) the people who sort
the collection envelopes know to look for email addresses written on
them (if you chose to include that option for your parishioners).
Tabulate the number of
subscribers each week and use that number in the weekly update
announcements.
Send the new subscribers' email
addresses to Brandon Jubar so they can be promptly added to your eZine
distribution list.
*If you ever need any help creating
announcements or flyers to advertise LifeTimes Catholic eZine, please feel
free to contact Brandon Jubar.
